Henry Bachstein Jr., long time Bucks County resident, beloved husband, father, and Pop-Pop died suddenly on February 21st, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Kristine (Wehrs), sons, Kyle (Amber) and Cory (Nicole), 3 grandchildren, Aunt, Gioiella Castor, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Henry (Harry) & Yolanda Bachstein, and a brother, Joseph DiNunzio (Bernadette) of Philadelphia.
Henry was the most loyal, loving, and caring individual and had the biggest heart. He was proud to take care of his family and to be everything that they needed him to be. He was devoted, adoring, a mentor, friend, confidant, security blanket and the best teammate. He had endless energy to fulfill all these roles.
He cherished the 37 years of adventure with his soul mate, Kristine, enjoying their many trips and excursions. Some of their fondest memories outside of raising their children were trips to Alaska, the Mediterranean, and Cabo San Lucas. To his sons, Kyle and Cory, he was Superman; he was a warrior and he was dad. He made sure to instill the values of love, independence, and a good work-ethic in their daily lives. Always present, he made sure to never miss their sporting events when they were growing up and encouraged them to strive for success, inspiring them to do the same with their children.
Henry worked at Sesame Place from 1987 until 2020. He loved his team and the challenges of his position as VP of Maintenance and Engineering. In 2020, he retired, and he & Kristine enjoyed time in Florida before moving again to be closer to their children, and grandkids, Amelia, Declan, and the most recent addition, Cooper (4 weeks).
Their most recent move to the Raleigh, NC area enabled Henry to spend significant time with his grandkids. His smile brightened up the room when playing with them, taking them for walks, and teaching them all about life. He made it a point to have his "special handshake(s)" with Amelia and Declan; entertaining everyone in the room. We will be sure those "special handshakes" live on.
Our extended family, friends and his coworkers will all miss him deeply.
Family and friends are invited to Henry's Life Celebration on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10 AM – 11 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM, all at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be held privately at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA at https://www.pspca.org/tribute-memorial-gifts or to ACCT Philly and www.acctphilly.org
