Henry "Bub" Furr, Jr. Obituary
Henry “Bub” Jacob Furr, Jr., 95, of Concord passed away December 31, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Funeral services will be held 3pm, Friday January 5 at Friendship Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Duane Jarman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The Furr family will receive friends from 1-3 prior to the service.
“Bub” was born in Cabarrus County, July 9, 1928 to the late Henry Jacob and Annie Rowland Furr. He served his county in the US Army. He was a long time fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Barnhardt Furr; also by brothers, Woodly, Reece, Floyd Ray and Ralph Furr, and sisters, Emma Fink, Jewel Maxwell and Lena Mae Hinson.
He is survived by a son; Tony and wife Sally; grandsons, David and Jason; great grandchildren Payton and Kylie; and a brother Boyd Lee Furr.
Memorials in his memory may be made to Friendship Methodist Church, 4695 Mt. Pleasant Rd. S., Concord NC 28025.
