HENRY W. "DUSTY" HARDY 1952-2024 Dusty was reunited with his best friends and parents in heaven on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 2:55pm surrounded by love from his family. Dusty was born on February 1, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Henry M. and Ann E. Hardy, the middle of three. He attended Jessup Elementary, South Houston Intermediate and graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 1971. Dusty was well known for being a positive light for everyone he came across or a big "teddy bear." He enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids, music and records, road trips to see family, Galveston beach, and the Saturday matinee double feature at the Santa Rosa Theater. In 1996, Dusty relocated with his parents to Driftwood to be with his brother, Charles and family. There, he enjoyed shopping trips to "town" that would last all day, his daily walks and connecting with his twin nieces over the current celebrity gossip and daily tv shows in addition to attending their sporting and school events. In 2009, Dusty moved to Alvarado to be with his sister, Judy, and her family where he lived the remainder of his life. He continued his walks and enjoyed outings to movies and various sporting events. Survivors include his sister, Judy Walters, and brother, Charles Hardy; nephew Allen Walters; nieces Tania Walters, Bailey Dziuk (Michael) and Jaclyn Teinert (Logan); great-nephews Hardy and Holden Teinert and Davis Dziuk and great-niece Lainey Dziuk along with many special family and friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Frank Walters. Many thanks to the care teams at Colonial Manor Cleburne and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth for taking good care of Dusty. If desired, please give memorials to the study of Alzheimer's/Dementia Brain Diseases in honor of his mother or an organization of your choice in support of cognitive or social disabilities.
