Henry "Hank" Jacobs, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on March 23, 1937, to Henry and Frieda Jacobs, he grew up in Winona, Minnesota, where he later graduated from Winona High School.
Hank married Elaine Sackreiter on May 18, 1957, at St. Johns church in Lewiston. Together, they raised their 3 wonderful children.
Throughout his life, Hank dedicated himself to his work as a Tool and Die maker at TRW, where he served diligently for 40 years before retiring. Amidst his commitment to work, Henry found joy in various activities, from participating in the FFA and Pork Master Chefs, to enjoying golfing, trout fishing, and traveling with Elaine to the southern states.
He was a proud member of the UAW Union and loved watching sports, especially cheering for his grandkids. Hank's social nature also led him to engaging in leisurely pastimes such as playing cards and bingo at Lewiston Senior Living.
Hank will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, love for family, and joy in life's simpler pleasures. Hank Jacobs may have departed from this world, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his children, Sue Hill, Jeff (Julie) Jacobs, Greg (Holly) Jacobs; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Merle Matzke.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; parents, Henry and Frieda; sister, Eunice Diercks; brother, Robert Jacobs; brother-in-law, Neil Diercks; son-in-law, Steve Hill; and grandson, Bradley Hill.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, MN from 11am - 1pm. Funeral services will begin at 1pm. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Lewiston, MN.
