Henry Lucio, age 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Demma officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
The body is laying in wake at Lunn's. The family welcomes visitors to come pay their respects and visit Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
Henry was born on November 3, 1940, in Henrietta, Texas, to Enrique and Guadalupe Lucio. He was married to his wife Gloria for 58 years and was a devoted husband and caregiver. He retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 33 years of service.
He was a kind and compassionate man. Always willing to help others and lend a helping hand. Henry was loved by all who knew him. His enjoyed playing golf with his friends as often as he could and traveling with his close friends and family. He enjoyed music and dancing.
He was very dedicated to his family. He was a proud and present Grandpa to his grandchildren. He created many wonderful memories with them watching them at their various activities, sporting events and at Possum Kingdom Lake, the family getaway.
Henry is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lupe L. Lucio, son, Henry III, wife Michelle and 3 grandchildren, Henry IV (Vi), Holden and Mackenzie all of Bedford, TX. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Lucio (Cathy) of Anaheim, CA., Benito Lucio of Phoenix, AZ, and sisters Bertha Gagliano of La Palma, CA., Virgina Pendley, Helen Talley (Robert), and Jessie Lucio all of Wichita Falls, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lucio; and sisters, Cecelia Lucio and Beatrice Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society or an organization of your choice.
