Henry P. "HANK" McLaughlin

HENRY P. "HANK" McLAUGHLIN, of Woburn, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the age of ninety-three.

Born and raised in Medford, Hank was the son of the late Patrick Henry and Nora (Clancy) McLaughlin. He was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1950, and later enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Korean War, stationed in Japan.

Hank was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Terban) McLaughlin and the late Evelyn J. (Robinson) McLaughlin.

He married his first love, Evelyn, in 1958 and later moved to Gayle St. in the west side of Woburn where they raised their young family.

After the passing of Evelyn, Hank was fortunate to find love again with Shirley, with whom he shared many happy years, including cherished retirement years spent in Florida. Together they enjoyed family gatherings, travel, and time well spent with loved ones.

Hank worked for many years with Frito-Lay and was a proud member of the Local Teamsters, eventually retiring in 1994. He was actively involved in the community and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, and the Jaycees in Woburn.

A devoted sports fan, Hank was a lifelong supporter of all Boston sports teams. He also enjoyed simple pleasures - time with family, good conversation, and the routines that made life meaningful to him. He was very proud of the family he created and was always making sure "the kids were all right," even up until his last days.

Hank was a loving father to Eileen J. McLaughlin of Andover, Noreen Gorham and her husband Richard of Billerica, and the late Brian H. McLaughlin. He was a devoted stepfather to Michael E. Molliver of Walpole, Russel and Andrea Molliver, and the late Ruth N. Molliver.

He was a treasured grandfather to Christina McLaughlin and her fiancé Mo Russell, Kayla Iodice and her husband David, Cassie and Meghan Gorham, Matthew Molliver, and William and Marissa Molliver, and a proud great-grandfather to AJ, Kyle, Jackson, Rylie, and Reese.

Hank was the dear brother of the late Margaret McCarthy and a beloved uncle to Margaret Walsh and her husband Paul, Justin McCarthy, and many other loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24th, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn. Burial will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Henry's memory to the National MS Society.
