Henry J. "Hank" Narus, 95, of Houston, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in his home. He was born March 16, 1929, in Mt. Carmel, a son of Anthony and Mary Kaczmarzewski Narusewicz. Hank was the last of his immediate family and the youngest of 11 children. Mr. Narus was a 1947 graduate of Mt. Carmel Catholic High School and a 1951 graduate of Penn State. Henry had worked as an Industrial Engineer for RCA in Meadow Lands and McDonnell Douglas Corp. in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. Hank enjoyed golfing, bowling, and dart ball. In 1965, he married Shirley A. Caponi, who survives. Also surviving are: five children, Donald Narus (Linda) of McMurray, Gerald Narus (Karen) of Idaho Falls, Id., Robert Narus (Karen) of Boise, Id., Brian Narus (Angela) of Port Orchard, Wa., and Lora Meerdo (Andrew) of Hyde Park, Ut.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to his parents are a son, Richard Narus, and his wife, Jean; and 10 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of service, on Friday, February 14, 2025, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Chartiers Township Volunteer Fire Department, 2450 W Pike St., Houston, PA 15342.
