Henry “Hank” Wayne Overton, age 45, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 10, 1978 to Henry and Lisa Overton.
Hank was a legend. He was a master at fixing and repairing anything. He took great pride in his work. As a young man, he began working at Bluegrass Motor Supply, followed by Yeary’s Auto Electric and later, Logan Corporation. Most recently he was employed at the Honda Shop. Hank will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, especially those who called him son, brother, husband, and daddy.
Hank was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Virginia Overton and father-in-law, Dean Elliott.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Kristi Elliott Overton; daughters, Haley Beth Overton and Hannah Kate Overton; parents, Henry Clarence Overton and Lisa Marie Overton; brother, Jason (Kendra) Overton; mother-in-law, Karen Elliott; sister-in-law, Dena (Doug) Turner; brothers-in-law, Keith Elliott and Brady Elliott; nieces, Jaylen Overton and Kenley Overton; special little niece, Ava, who called him, “Pop Pop”; and special little buddy, Silas Hart, as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family of Hank Overton will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Wilson presiding. Music will be provided by Edwina Eldridge.
At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will follow in procession to Green Hills Memorial Gardens Gazebo, where graveside services will be held.
Pallbearers will be Jason Overton, Keith Elliott, Brady Elliott, Kevin Barnett, and Ernie Brock.
