Paul Edwards

Paul Edwards, age 82, of Imlay City, Michigan, died Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Serene Gardens Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI. Paul Edwards was born October 18, 1943 in Pineville, Kentucky. He is the son of the late James and the late Louise (Warren) Edwards. Paul grew up in Balkan, Kentucky. He attended Balkan High School. Paul lived in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee for 25 years before moving to Michigan. He married Nancy Lisberg on April 12, 1978 in Pontiac, Michigan. Paul moved to the Imlay City, MI area 4 years ago.

He was employed as a Hi-Low Driver by General Motors - Truck & Bus in Pontiac, MI for 35 years before retiring

Paul loved to play and watch basketball. He enjoyed fishing, watching Western movies and watching wrestling.

He is survived by: his wife, Nancy Edwards of Canton, MI; sons, Tim (Mellonie) Edwards of Imlay City, MI and Phil (Lia) Edwards of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Amy (Bill) Piepsney of Canton, MI; and his son, John (Beth) Thomas of Ortonville, MI. He is also survived by: four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by: his parents, James & Louise Edwards; and his siblings, James, Jewel, Wanda, Dot, Troy, Hazel, Nicey and Lucy.

The Funeral Service will be held 2:30 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Anthony Battaglia, Chaplin of Serene Gardens of Imlay City, will officiate. Interment will take place in Edward's Family Cemetery, Pineville, Kentucky.

The family will be available for visitation 12 Noon - 2:30 pm, Thursday, March 12th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
