Henry Pappas was born December 17, 1940 in Booton, New Jersey. His parents were Gus Pappas and Margaret Boylan Pappas. He was the youngest of 6 children. He attended Boonton High School then served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963. He attended the University of Wisconsin where he earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration. He and Julie met in St. Louis, Missouri in 1971 where they lived for 10 years. They also lived in Wisconsin for 5 years before moving to Kingwood in 1986. He retired in 2007 after working at Copper & Brass International for 20 years. He was married to Julie on April 28, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation to Cancun, Mexico earlier this year.
Henry was a social person who never met a stranger. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. After moving to Kingwood he played golf every Saturday morning with the same foursome and joined OFWW after retirement. They enjoyed a monthly dinner club and took many trips with two other couples that have been special friends for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Pappas, his children Michael Pappas (Raina) and Megan Gaskamp (Lucas), grandchildren Jaxon Pappas, Jetson Pappas, Elyse Gaskamp and Brynn Gaskamp and sister Janet Bentley of Boonton, NJ. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gus Pappas, Catherine Pappas, Walter Pappas and Mary Shay.
