It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Poscher beloved father, grandfather, and husband, who died peacefully at the age of 94.
Born in 1931 in Cologne, Germany, Henry lived through a world in upheaval and carried with him a deep appreciation for peace, kindness, and resilience. In 1951, he emigrated to the United States, where he embraced a new life with courage, determination, and hope for the future.
Throughout his life, Henry exemplified strength of character, a deep sense of integrity, and unwavering love for his family. He had a profound appreciation for the natural world and found joy in the quiet beauty of the outdoors. His connection to nature was a source of peace and inspiration. His gentle way with animals and deep respect for all living things reflected the kindness that defined him.
He will be remembered for his enduring spirit, his stories of the old world, and the gentleness with which he treated those around him.
Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife Carlotta in 2020 and his beloved son Bruce in 1997. He is survived by his son Dr. Henry L. Poscher of Los Angeles, California and his daughter Dr. Margaret Poscher (Heidi) of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
There will be no service or memorial at Henry's request. If you wish to honor his memory, please send donations to Doctors Without Borders.
