Jaclyn Dixon Obituary

Visit the A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Directors - Crooks Road website to view the full obituary.
Jaclyn "Jackie" Dixon was born in Waukegan, Illinois, and raised in Troy, Michigan. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and aunt whose kindness, generosity, and warmth touched friends across the country. She attended high school at Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, then pursued studies at the University of Michigan and received her bachelor's degree from Oakland University. Jackie spent 22 years at Cintas Corporation, working in various sales and management roles, where she earned many awards and accolades.

Together, Jackie and her husband Eric enjoyed traveling to new places, collecting memories that reflected her zest for life, as well as keepsakes and stories to share with friends and family. Jackie loved to research and plan these adventures, with each trip deepening their love for the world and each other. Her wanderlust led her across the globe, including recent trips to Rome, Barcelona, and Paris, where she embraced new cultures, flavors, and experiences with an open heart.

Jackie's true passion was cooking and entertaining, turning every occasion into a celebration with incredible meals and infectious charm. Her home was a place of comfort and laughter, where family and friends would gather to share stories that connected people in meaningful ways. In the kitchen, Jackie was the center of attention, pouring her heart into every dish to the delight of all those around her.

Jackie and her husband especially cherished their second home in New Orleans, a city whose vibrancy matched her own. She was the epitome of the city's culture of hospitality and warmth, generously welcoming countless guests and loved ones into her home. Jackie built deep and lasting friendships and created a haven filled with laughter and love.

Jackie was an avid dog lover who opened her heart and home to several rescue dogs over the years. It was impossible for her to pass a dog without stopping for pets and kisses. She especially enjoyed watching her two current rescue pups, Randolph and Mortimer, adjust to city-living in New Orleans.

Jackie was also an enthusiastic supporter of Sparky Anderson's CATCH Charity for Children, injecting her cheerful spirit into its mission of helping underserved children following significant health events. She served on CATCH's Board of Trustees for the last 12 years, co-chairing its Night of Champions committee from 2017 to 2021.

Jackie's spirit will continue to shine through the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her legacy of love, empathy, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Eric Dixon; parents, William and Gail Fleury; brother, Todd (Britt-Marie) Fleury; sister, Deanna (Brad) Feeley; grandmother, Mae Nesbitt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Paula Dixon; brother-in-law, Brian (Jackie) Dixon; sister-in-law, Michele Dixon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025, at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, located at 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI 48084.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Holy Name Catholic Church, located at 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, MI 48009, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
