Daisy Lillian Bradley (nee Braxton) age 99 of Troy, MI passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, from Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia after a full and joyful life. Daisy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Sheldon Davis Bradley whom she lost in 2014 to Lewy Body Dementia.

Daisy and Sheldon were a loving couple and loving parents to daughters Kate and Betsy, teaching and demonstrating to them the importance of close family ties, integrity, and doing the next right thing.

Together, they joyfully welcomed four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Daisy is survived by daughters, Kathleen Elin Bojan (Walter) of Troy, MI and Elizabeth Ann O'Brien (Butch) of Clawson, MI. She is Gram to Jason Bradley Bojan (Barbara), Justin Alin Bojan (Kelley), Loren O'Brien Zablocki (Trever), and Trevor Bradley O'Brien (Amy). The "Non" or Nonnie to Brooke Elizabeth Bojan, Ashlyn Kate Bojan, Braxton Cain Zablocki, Harlow Kay Zablocki, Ivy Lillian Zablocki, Sloan Elizabeth O'Brien, and Brooks Sheldon O'Brien.

Daisy was born on December 30, 1925 to Daisy Lilian Braxton (nee French) and John Elin Braxton. She was one of the seven Braxton kids known around the city of Ferndale, MI. Three brothers and four sisters including Lorena, George, Bertie, Daisy, Avis, Nancy and John. Their mother was from Southampton, England and Daisy and her siblings held their mother's English roots close to their hearts.

Daisy's mother died from heart failure in 1938, when Daisy was 13 years old therefore, she and her siblings had difficult childhoods. Despite hardship, they all thrived into adulthood and had families of their own.

Daisy attended Lincoln High School in Ferndale but was forced to leave school in 10th grade to support herself. She would live at friend's homes until she had to move on to a new spot. She found jobs to pay her rent. In the early 1940's she famously worked at Hermann's Bakery in Royal Oak until she was fired for dropping a fully decorated wedding cake. She also worked in an industrial plant in Royal Oak where she assembled parts for B-24 Bombers.

Daisy met her beloved Sheldon (a Hazel Park guy), when she was 14 years old. She had seen him before, riding his bike with the other guys in her neighborhood. He rode up and asked if she wanted a ride on his handlebars and she said okay. Yes, it's almost like the song, "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do!"

Daisy and Sheldon were married on August 31, 1943, at the tender ages of 17 and 19 in Gulfport, Mississippi, where Sheldon was stationed in the US Army Air Corp. Sheldon was an Instrument Specialist on B-17 and B-24 Bombers and was transferred to Chanute Field in Illinois, where Daisy found work and stayed with him for several months. Daisy returned to Michigan when she was expecting their first child Kathleen and moved in with her In-laws, Arthur and Dorothy Bradley in Highland Park, MI.

After discharge from the service, Daisy and Sheldon bought their first home in Inkster on Lehigh St. In 1955, their second daughter, Elizabeth arrived. In 1957 they moved to Clawson, and in 1983 to Troy, MI.

Daisy loved being a wife, mother, sister, Gramma, Nonnie, and the best Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family and was a valued mentor, advisor and exemplary steward of the Braxton clan. Daisy seemed to magically appear in times of trouble, providing a quiet calm, steady strength, a hug, and a pat on the back for encouragement. She had an extraordinary gift for listening and was always the first to offer a helping hand. Her generosity and gentle spirit touched countless lives and will be cherished forever.

Daisy spent the last 3 ½ years residing at Arden Court Memory Care, Bingham Farms, MI. Daisy's family wishes to thank the entire staff at Arden Court for the loving kindness and respect bestowed on Daisy every day. We all became one family taking care of this precious being and it was a beautiful thing.

Special Thanks to Daisy's caregiver Chelsea who brightened her Tuesdays and Thursdays like no one else.

Daisy's life touched so many and we are all better for having her in our lives.
