Henry Thomas "Tommy" Rogerson Jr.

Henry Thomas "Tommy" Rogerson, Jr.,76, beloved husband of 56 years to Patricia "Patsy" Hatcher Rogerson, died January 29, 2026, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Tommy was born September 17, 1949, in Sumter, SC, the son of the late H. T. "Tom" Rogerson and the late Taphenas "Tena" Russell Rogerson. He graduated from Mayewood High School, Sumter Area Technical College, and the University of South Carolina. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Tommy retired from Farmers Telephone Cooperative.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, his daughter and son-in-law Brandi and Josh Hamrick, and their children, Ian and Max, of Spartanburg, SC; his son and daughter-in-law, H. T. III "Tram" and Brooke Rogerson, of Piedmont, SC, and their children, Chase Berry and his wife Falyn and their son Nelson of Hickory Tavern, SC, Carson Ramirez and her husband, Rony, of Simpsonville, SC, and Davis Rogerson and Avery Rogerson, both of Piedmont, SC; one sister-in-law, Pam Hatcher Still, of Greenwood, SC.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Anne Rogerson Jones and his brothers-in-law, David Jones and John Still.

Graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Donald R. Witherspoon officiating.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sumter United Ministries, 36 S. Artillery Drive, P.O. Box 1017 Sumter, SC 29150 or a charity of one's choice.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
