Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life and legacy of Mr. William H. Sanders, 81, of Cove City, who was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2025, while in the comfort of his home.

William was born January 9, 1944, in Craven County to the late Elehue Sanders and Everline Heath.

He is survived by his wife Genevia Hall Sanders of the home; one son, William Henry Sanders Jr. of Cove City, NC; one daughter, Constance Sanders Witherspoon of Goldsboro, NC; one sister, Helen Sanders of Jamaica, Queens, NY; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in the sanctuary of Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church, 506 N. Main Street, Cove City, NC.

Interment will follow in the Bryant Chapel Church Cemetery.

A public viewing will take place at the church one hour prior to the service.
