Hank was born on October 7, 1966 in Big Spring, Texas to Marvin Ray Schauer and Vicki Amos Hyer and passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at home in Keithville.
Hank, a proud resident of Keithville, dedicated his career to the construction industry where he worked as a foreman. Known for his strong work ethic and leadership, he built more than structures—he built trust and community.
Away from work, Hank’s passions defined him. He was a familiar face at Boothill Speedway, where the thrill of the races brought him joy. His Mustang was his canvas, a project he loved to tinker with, always finding ways to make it shine. He cherished the outdoors, whether hunting, feeding animals in the country, or tending to flowers and landscaping projects. His eye for beauty extended to his remarkable ability to discover rare treasures, a gift that amazed those around him.
Family was the heart of Hank’s world. He was always gathering loved ones together, creating moments of warmth and connection. His Christmas decorations were legendary, a true reflection of his festive spirit and love for celebration.
Hank is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ray Schauer; and stepfather, Thomas Hyer. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Vicki Amos Hyer; daughter, Tamara Scroggins; sister, Holly Schauer Borel; stepbrothers, Tim Hyer and Brett Hyer; grandsons, Cameron Huitt, Preston Huitt; niece, Sarah Johnson; nephews, Adam Borel and Noah Borel.
