Henry Harold Smith, 94, born on March 25, 1930, in Wren, Monroe County, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a cherished member of his community and a dedicated professional mechanic at Amory Tire Center, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clientele alike.
Henry's life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Belinda Smith-Sims, Ruby Smith-Jackson, and Eunice McMurray. Their admiration for their father is a testament to the values he imparted throughout their lives.
He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Jim Smith and Lillian Jackson-Smith, who instilled in him the principles of hard work, integrity, and compassion that guided him throughout his journey.
In remembrance of his life, a visitation will be held at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Mississippi, on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life event at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Nettleton, Mississippi, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM.
Henry Harold Smith will be remembered not only for his skills as a mechanic but also for the warmth and love he brought to those around him. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
