Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Henry D. Therrien, Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully, on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Diane (Rivard) Therrien.
Born in Waterbury on August 22, 1950, Henry was the son of the late Henry and Jennie (Caserio) Therrien, Sr. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and of Porter and Chester with a degree in computer programming. He worked as a systems analyst for Waterbury Companies for 18 years and had a true appreciation of technology.
Along with his family, Henry was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael's Church. Strong-willed yet quiet and kindhearted, Henry was devoted to his family, and he adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting beaches in Newport, RI, Topsail, NC and trips to the casino, and he was an avid NY Yankee fan.
In addition to Diane, his beloved wife of 41 years, Henry is survived by his son Eric Therrien and his wife Jessica of Woodbury; his daughter Suzan Plowman and her husband Brian of Watertown; his grandchildren Madison Therrien, Camden Therrien, Emerson Plowman, Kai Plowman and Mikey Plowman. He also leaves his sisters Marie Therrien and Lucille Therrien, both of Wolcott; and his sisters-in-law Murielle Simon and her husband Jacques and Suzanne Rivard, all of Canada as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Henry's funeral will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 9:00am from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury to St. Michael's Church for a Mass at 10:00am.
