Henry Lankford Thompson

Henry L. Thompson, Jr., of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on January 26, 2026 at the age of 56 in his hometown of Virginia Beach.

He leaves behind his best friend and wife, Deanna; his accomplished sons Tazewell and Ephram; mother and father Kathy and Hank Thompson; sister Sharon and brother Frank; niece Courtney and nephew Max; nephew Cohen; brother-in-law Travis; and of course his beloved dog Rocky.

Henry will be remembered fondly by many. He constantly wore a smile and was always willing to help when a problem needed a solution. He was a gadget guy always acquiring the newest technology offered. He was a tinkerer, a fixer, a builder, a boat captain, a gamer, an alternative music lover and baseball enthusiast. He loved a good bourbon occasionally, especially with friends. He was a history buff and enjoyed traveling to experience history firsthand. His favorite role in life was 'Dad'.

Henry was a dedicated professional who served as Senior Vice President of Technology at Chartway Federal Credit Union. His commitment and leadership in his field were evident to all who worked with him. Henry cherished his Chartway FCU family.
