Henry was the first of two children. At University of Miami, he was active in deploying the first desktop computer as part of his research in marketing and economics. He loved golf and travel through which he maintained many friendships over a combined 70 years of living in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Split Rock, and Pawleys Island. He engaged meaningfully in his Christian faith over time, namely with Christ Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church in Pawleys Island, SC.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Beth) Seibert Westendarp; his brother, Peter Kingsbury Westendarp, of Sarasota, Florida; and his son, Henry Cooper Westendarp, of New Canaan, Connecticut. Henry was a truly devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, and all who came into contact with him admired his kindness, loyalty, perseverance, thoughtfulness, joy, integrity, and care. He will be greatly missed; may God rest his soul.
