Henry Earl White was born June 6, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late John Henry Collins and Dollie Elizabeth White. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Henry is preceded in death by his father Henry, mother Elizabeth, daughter Diandra, and sister Geraldine. Henry received Christ at an early age, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and service. He served faithfully as a deacon at 37th Street Baptist Church before continuing his ministry as a deacon at New Way of Living Life Church, where he was also a dedicated member of the praise team. His devotion to his church communities was a joy. Music was a central part of Henry's life. He loved sharing his gift, playing the lead bass guitar. He was a member of several gospel groups, including The Gospel Allstars, the Gospel Lyrics, Dot & The Silver Voices and the Joyettes Gospel Singers.
Henry was a loving father, a husband and a great friend, his greatest joy was found in the company of those he loved and those who loved him. He cherished time spent with family, laughing all the time, his laughter would fill the room, and making funny little facial gestures when someone was not telling the truth was too much; his quiet wisdom guided those around him, and his compassion was a source of strength in times of need, always wanting to help, Henry was a friend worth having.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories his wife Louise White, His children Pamela, Linda (Faye),Tommy(Buck), Janet, James (Poopie),Lil Henry, Tashuna, Cateena(Tinka), Latisha(Tisha), Marcus, Quennel, Geneal, Xavier, Gaquita, and Jamesse, his brother Ervin White, Sister Brenda Byrd. Sons & daughter in laws: Sam, Vincent, Frank, Stanley and Deonte, a host of grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As Henry's journey comes to a close, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
