Henry Harry William Glick IV

Henry Harry William Glick IV, age 63, longtime resident of McHenry, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1960, to Henry Harry William Glick III and Frieda C. (Mueller) Glick. He was a 1979 graduate of McHenry High School and upon graduating, he attended MCC and DeVry Institute of Technology obtaining his bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. On October 19, 1985, he married the love of his life, Mary Rabelhofer and together they enjoyed 38 years as loving partners in life.
Henry was known always as a competitive sportsman. He coached his children in various sports during their upbringing and stayed active in the sports world once they were adults by umpiring. He was skilled in sports during his younger years as well. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. He was cunning at always finding solutions to difficult problems and was an all-around "Mr. Fix It". No matter how complicated, Henry could usually fix it. His most recent project he was involved in was the remodeling of his home and he never fell short in lending a helping hand to the homes of his daughter and sons. In his free time, he enjoyed playing ping pong and basketball. Recently, this summer, he took up Pickleball and found it to be quite fun. But nothing compared to trampolining, tire swinging, sledding, or fishing with his grandchildren. He was a marvelous grandpa, the most loving husband, and always a very supportive dad. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who loved spending his time with his family and will be missed beyond measure by all who loved him.
Survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Henry (Rosetta)Glick, Daniel (Alyssa)
Glick; daughter, Fallon Glick; grandchildren, Hank, Jameson, Sawyer, Veronica; sister, Nancy Glick; brother, Randy (Debbie) Glick; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, starting at 8:00 A.M. until the 9:45 A.M. closing prayer at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 Washington Street, McHenry, IL.
Inurnment will take place in St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery, McHenry, IL.
Memorials in Henry's name to St. Patrick Catholic Church would be appreciated by his family.
