Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com Earl was born May 18, 1939, to Kenneth and Berneice (Woodard) Yorges. He was raised west of Yoder and attended Yoder schools. After graduating, he attended the University of Wyoming before returning to the homestead to begin his life with Dorothy (Babbitt) Yorges. Together they raised their four children: Marty, Becky, Lori, and Vicky. In the fall of 1986, the family moved to
Torrington, Wyoming. Earl's legacy and love of cattle, ranching, horses, and the outdoors lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was an active member of the Yoder FFA Chapter and 4-H in his youth and later continued supporting FFA and 4-H in Goshen County. He not only supported his own children, but many others as well. He served on the Goshen County Fair Board, where many cherished memories were made at the county and state fairs. Earl was a devoted member of the Yoder Presbyterian Church for most of his life, serving on numerous church committees. He loved to sing beautiful hymns, a gift evident in his family and passed down for generations. Earl also served for several years on the Goshen County School District Board of Trustees. In 2021, Earl moved to Evergreen Plaza, where he was one of the first residents. He loved the people who lived and worked there and valued the friendships he formed. Earl is survived by his sister, Clara Lou Smith of Worland; his son, Marty (Georgene) Yorges; and his daughters, Becky (Richard) Reyes, Lori (Rod) Weyrich, and Vicky (Ed) Stovall. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jenna (Ryan) Krul, Colin (Emily) Yorges, Alisa (Gerald) Wilmoth, Shelby (Chance) Clason, Haley Hayes, Paige (Seth) Turner, and Bailey (Mackenzie) Fair, and was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents, Kenneth and Berneice Yorges; his sister, Myra Ann Lively; and his brother, Bob Yorges. He will be deeply missed by many, as he knew no strangers wherever he went. Our hearts are broken.
