Herbert Hoover Blevins Herbert Hoover Blevins, age 82, died on May 19, 2011 at his home in Manassas, Virginia.

He was born on January 30, 1929 in Whitetop, Va. to the late Ike and Ina Blevins.

Mr. Blevins enjoyed being outside in the yard and fixing things. He also liked Bluegrass music and watching NASCAR and wrestling.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Ada Blevins of Manassas, Va.; six children: Earl Blevins and wife, Maryetta of Stephens City, Va., Lola Bostic of Catlett, Va., Buck Blevins of Front Royal, Va., Cathy Blevins of Manassas, Va., Wanda Peters and husband Ricky of Culpeper, Va. and Robert Blevins of Manassas, Va.; one brother: Dean Blevins of Whitetop, Va. and Josephine Finley of Whitetop, Va.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Va. and on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, 44 Dan Walter Drive, Independence, Va. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wall Cemetery in Whitetop, Va.
