Herbert E. Forse

Age 91, of McMurray, PA, passed away Saturday January 28, 2023, peacefully at his Peters Township home with his family by his side. He was born on December 20, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Mt. Washington, PA. He was the son of the late Herbert and Norma (Criswell) Forse, also from Mt. Washington. In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty (Forse) Baxter. He attended South Hills High School where he lettered in three sports. That is where he met the love of his life and future wife Arlene F. (Rehak) Forse. After graduating high school, he attended Waynesburg University on a football scholarship. After graduating college, he married Arlene in 1956 and had 66 wonderful years together. Herbert was an Army Veteran serving with the 498th Engineering Core in Germany from 1956-1958. After serving his country, he was employed by Ford Motor Company. Herbert then took a job as sales manager for Johnston Morehouse Dickey Co. (JMD) in Bethel Park, PA. where he became President and owner for over 49 years.
He enjoyed weekends at Conneaut Lake, boating, golfing, and traveling the world with his wife and family. Herbert is survived by his wife Arlene (Rehak) Forse, son Mark (Anna) Forse of Venetia, PA, son Scott (Kimi) Forse of Estero, Fl, 4 grandchildren, Kara (Jason) Park, Shayla Forse, Courtland (Emily) Forse and Chase Forse, one great grandchild Sloan Forse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am. in St. Catherine Laboure Parish, St. Louise deMarillac Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
