Arlene F. Forse

Age 89, of McMurray, PA, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, peacefully with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Herbert E. Forse. She was born on February 21, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Brookline, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Alexin) Rehak, also from Brookline and later North Strabane, PA.
She attended South Hill High School where she was a cheerleader and met the love of her life and future husband Herbert Forse, a three-sport athlete who she cheered for. After graduating high school, she attended The University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a degree in Psychology. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority where she was involved in all their efforts to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. After college she worked with children in the Pitt Psychology department. She married Herbert in 1956 and had 66 wonderful years together.
Arlene's favorite hobbies were playing the organ and entertaining friends and family.
She enjoyed weekends at Conneaut Lake, fishing, swimming, and boating. She cherished every minute spent with her beloved grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and watched every televised game, especially the Pirates.
Arlene is survived by her son Mark (Anna) Forse of Venetia, PA, son Scott (Kimi) Forse of Estero, Fl, 4 grandchildren, Kara (Jason) Park, Shayla Forse, Courtland (Emily) Forse, Chase Forse, and one great granddaughter Sloan Forse.
Friends will be received at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA on Saturday May 20th from 8:30 am to 10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30AM at St. Catherine of Laboure, St. Louise de Marillac Church. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff, social workers, nurses and aids at Gallagher Hospice and Friendship Village for all the help, support and compassion they provided.
