Herbert Elvert Prince, 81, of Marion, passed away at his home on the morning of Saturday, December 2, 2023.
He was born in Copperhill, Tennessee on January 12, 1942 to the late Carl Prince and Ola Mae Baker Prince. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Renee Price; brother, James Prince; and sister, Margie Prince.
Herbert was a carpenter by trade and could build anything including wood furnaces. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as traveling. He even went skydiving and loved doing so. Herbert loved the Lord and was part of a gospel group for many years. His family meant the most to him, and he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Prince; two daughters, Tammy Maria Prince and Erin Nicole Prince (James Barker); five grandchildren, Jesse McHone, Trinity Pressley, Arrien Prince, Hannah Luttrell, and Jackie Luttrell; special family members and caretakers, Trudy McCurry, Lisa Snyder, Stacy McCurry, and Ralph Hedrick; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Ralph Hedrick officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
