Herbert Randall Obituary
Herbert Theodore Randall, 93, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday August 11, 2024 at Autumnwood of McBain.
Herb was born on July 12, 1931 in Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan to Hazen and Ella (Alexander) Randall. Herb spent all of his life in the Houghton Lake area, where he graduated from Houghton Lake Community Schools in 1951. Following graduation Herb served in the Army from 1952 thru 1954. Herbert worked at his family's business, Randall Lumber, and was a carpenter. Herb was married on December 26, 1979 in Houghton Lake to Joan Elaine Randall. He was involved with his work continually, and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
Surviving Mr. Randall are his loving wife of 44 years, Joan Randall of Houghton Lake; two brothers, Arthur (Kay) Randall of FL, and Carl Randall of Houghton Lake; two sisters, Julia "Joanne" Couch of Houghton Lake, and Vera (Ron) Randall-Parsons of Houghton Lake; two daughters, Wendy (Jerry) Fletcher of Houghton Lake, and Tina Elizabeth(Chris) Dilts of Houghton Lake; two sons, Steven (Kathie) Bowman of Houghton Lake, and David (JoAnne) Bowman of Vancouver, Canada; fifteen grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Myrtle Williams, and Verna Witt; six brothers, Murl "Pinky" Randall, Gordon Randall, Donald Randall, Louis Randall, Wilbur "Willie" Randall, and Homer Randall.
Graveside Services for Herbert Theodore Randall will be conducted at 11:00am Monday August 19, 2024 at Roscommon Township Cemetery with Rev, Bryan Thompson officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Herb are asked to be directed to Munson Hospice. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
