Herbert Jonathan Rubenstein

FRANKLIN PARK - HERBERT JONATHAN RUBENSTEIN passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old.
Born in the Bronx, NY, to Frank and Molly (née Sternberg) Rubenstein, he resided in Fords, NJ before moving to Franklin Park 35 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 1992, he was a postal worker for the New York City Post Office for 34 years.
Herbert was a United States Army veteran, having served in Korea from August 1959 to August 1961 following the Korean War where he received special recognition as a sharp shooter and a marksman.
He enjoyed/loved reading, horse racing, a good Italian meal, and most of all rooting for the New York Yankees and spending time with his beloved wife Judy.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Judith (née Kryshka); their children, Sharon Herl of Princeton, Fred Rubenstein and his wife, Sue Anne, of Princeton, and his grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Herl, and Kyla and Gabrielle Rubenstein.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 10:45 am, at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
