Sheldon Lehrer Obituary
Born in Brooklyn, NY to David and Dorice (née Kurtz) Lehrer-Bromberg, he resided in Brooklyn for 71 years, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ 1 year ago.
Prior to retiring in 2011, Sheldon was the deli manager at Waldbaums in Brooklyn, NY for 15 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and bringing joy to all children. He supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Breast Cancer Awareness. He loved the beach, and he was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Sheldon is survived by his sister, Paula Meshel and her husband, Howard, of Monroe Township, NJ; his niece, Heather Gartenberg and her husband, Josh; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Danica and Harrison Gartenberg.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10:45 am, at Wellwood Cemetery, 1400 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
