HERBERT RODNEY TUNNELL III, 79, of Charleston, WV, passed away March 7, 2026, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Rod is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan Ellen (Turnblacer), daughter Ruth Ellen Tunnell of Charleston, WV, son Christopher Rodney Tunnell (Sandra) of Ashland, OH, granddaughter Madeline Tunnell, and sisters Anne Felker and Sarah Tunnell of Tucson, AZ.
A requiem mass will be held at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Charleston, WV, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14. Burial will be immediately following at Alliance City Cemetery in Alliance, OH.
Visitation will be at the Cathedral and will begin one hour prior to the service.
