Herman McCoy Obituary
He was born June 20, 1985, in Logan, WV, the son of the late Herman McCoy, Sr. and Rose McCoy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Jada Booth; paternal grandparents, John and Ella McCoy; and maternal grandparents, James and Beulah Mills.
Herman enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding, mudding, working on his ford ranger, and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Elizabeth McCoy; two sons, Elijah McCoy and Ethan McCoy; stepfather, Anson Tabor; two sisters, Daffenie (Ryan) McCoy and Jennifer (Joseph) Workman; brother, Brandon (Misty) McCoy; seven nephews, Daniel Workman, Jesse Weekley, RJ Workman, Christopher Workman, Rambel (Cheyenne) Tackett, Logan (Kayla) Tackett and Jaden Workman; five nieces, Rachel Weekley, Angel Mitchell, Desirea (David) Lockard, Halea Ferguson and Keisha Workman; two great nephews, Hayden Ferguson and Landon Baldwin; five great nieces, Addison Walker, Paislee Tackett, Mya Baldwin, Madaline Baldwin and Sydney Collins; and special friends, Matthew Dotson and Ricky Workman.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home with Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow at the Mills Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.
Pallbearers will be Rambel Tackett, Logan Tackett, Brandon McCoy, Christopher Workman, Dustin Brewster and Richard Workman.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.

Herman worked with Elvis several places yrs ago. He and Jada were our neighbors yrs ago. He was always so nice to us. We're sorry for this loss.
