I am the resurrection and life. He that believeth in me through he were dead, yet shall he live again. John 11:25
On January 21, 2026, God called our beloved Herman from labor to reward. He was born August 15, 1962 to the late William Brown Smith, Sr. and Ruby Lee Smith in Perry, Georgia.
He received his education from Houston County Public School System and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Although he was retired he was moonlighting in his final years.
He was married to the late Vera V. Smith, and from that union, one daughter was born, Jelisa Marie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William Brown Smith, Sr. and Ruby Lee Smith; his wife, Vera Smith; his son, Miquel D’Shawn Smith; his sister, Odessa Farms; his six brothers, Leroy Farms, Larry G. Smith, Earl Lee Smith, Robert Smith, and William Brown, Jr.; and a sister in law, Bernice Smith.
His memory will be cherished by his daughter, Jelisa Marie Smith, his granddaughter, Alayzhia Renee Hill, his fiancée, Theresa West, his brother, Freddie Smith (Rena), his sister, Bertha Smith, and sister-in-laws, Teresa Smith, Katie Farms, and Rose Smith; with a host of nieces and nephews that were dear to his heart.
