Hershel Scott, 92, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away March 21, 2024, at Residence in Thorsby, Alabama.
He was born January 19, 1932, in Alabama, son of the late J.C. Scott and the late Myrtle Childress Scott.
He was a Logger. He loved his family, God, and church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bird hunting. He loved spending the holidays with his family and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He held many positions in the church such as deacon, choir, youth, and Sunday School director. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his Wife, Sarah C Scott; Daughter, Jayne (Rex) Littleton; Sons, Glenn (Ann) Scott, Roger (Kim) Scott, Terry (Angie) Scott; Grandchildren, Heath, Nicole, Suzy, Josh, Heather, Natalie,Tyler, Ryan; 13 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Barbara Acuff; Special friends, Mark (Regena and Kacie) Adams.
He was preceded in death by his Father, J.C. Scott; Mother, Myrtle Childress Scott; Sister, Gladys Franklin.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #1.
Services will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church #1 with Rev. Michael Goode, Rev. William Short, Chaplain Paul Foreman officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Cemetery, Thorsby, Alabama.
