Hidalia Ulzheimer

Mrs. Hidalia (Loy) Ulzheimer, 89, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, entered her eternal home on October 7, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1936, in Morovis, Puerto Rico, and was raised primarily in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she met her husband of 67 years, Robert. She was a devoted wife and mother and was the anchor of the family while her husband served two tours of duty in Vietnam and one in Germany for the U.S. Army.
Loy was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain family and friends in her home filled with antiques collected over the years during the family's military relocations to Washington, Alabama, California, Texas, Uruguay, and ultimately Georgia where she established the family's forever home in 1980. She was famous for selecting the largest live Christmas tree she could find on the lot, and her wildly popular tostones were always on the menu for holiday meals and gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Marie Rivera, and sisters Blanca and Lucy. In addition to her husband, Loy is survived by her daughters Lynn Perry (Jeff) and Patricia Skaggs (Richard); son John (Monica), and grandchildren Michelle Jeffries, Mason Ulzheimer, Avery Skaggs, Ryan Skaggs, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, from 2:00pm-5:00pm, at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners, GA. Internment will take place on Monday, October 20, at 1:00pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 6260 The Corners Parkway NW, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.
