Hilah Burkes Stubbs, 90, a retired accountant for the MS State Treasury, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Visitation is 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, March 17, 2025, at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 11:00 am Monday, March 17, 2025, in the Wilcox Chapel with Bro. John Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
Mrs. Stubbs, a native of Scott County, was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Hubert "Sonny" Stubbs, Jr.; a son Gary Howard Stubbs; and a sister, Glenda Comans.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail (Eric) Chancellor of Madison; 2 brothers, Jimmy Burkes of Clinton and Bobby Burkes of Hurley; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Eric Chancellor, Evan Chancellor, Aidyn Stubbs, Jason Giachelli, Mike Stubbs, and Mack Stubbs.
