With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joy Mae Stubbs, who entered eternal rest on August 9, 2025 Born on October 23, 1939, Joy lived a life full of compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her name perfectly captured the essence of who she was-radiating joy, warmth, and kindness to everyone blessed to know her. Joy was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Ronnie Mitchell and Donna Byrd, who will carry on her legacy of love and resilience. She was a proud and nurturing grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She now reunites in Heaven with her cherished sons, Ricky Mitchell and Jerome Mitchell, whose memories she held close to her heart every day. Joy's gentle spirit, generous heart, and unshakable faith made her a guiding light in the lives of so many. Her love was the thread that wove the fabric of her family, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Memorial services for Joy Mae Stubbs will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 9:30AM until the hour of service. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, GA. 30224 is in charge of arrangements.
