Hilario Maese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Funeral Chapel from Feb. 27 to Feb. 28, 2022.
Mr. Hilario P. Maese, 88, of Avondale, Arizona went to run with the Angels on February 18, 2022. He was born March 7, 1933 in Mesilla Park, New Mexico to Federico and Juliana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Juliana Maese; brothers Antonio Maese, Ismael Parra, Roberto Parra; and sisters Eulalia Lara and Gumecinda Villa.

At ten years old, Hilario moved from New Mexico to Arizona. There he married his wife, Odelia and started a family. As he aged, his grandchildren became his life. He loved when they would come over to visit. Hilario also loved to garden and fix things. He was a proud member of the local Teamsters Union.

Hilario is survived by his wife of 69 years, Odelia; daughters Norma (Alberto) Pacheco and Barbara (Donald) Burns; sons Michael (Sylvia) Maese and Joseph (Laura) Maese; and his sister Mary Lopez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
