Hilda Mary Lovas

Hilda Mary Lovas passed away peacefully in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 13th, 2025, due to heart issues. Born in Dover, New Jersey, Hilda's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her throughout her remarkable life.
Hilda is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Emil S. Lovas, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including Craig Lovas (wife Molli), Cathy Gibson (husband Ray), Susan Trice, Donald Lovas, and William Lovas (wife Chelsea). Hilda's legacy continues through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A proud graduate of Springfield Regional High School in New Jersey, Hilda's work ethic and attention to detail led her to a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper. She worked diligently at A. Lovas and Sons in New Jersey and later at Automatic Gas Co. in Tyler, Texas. Her colleagues remember her as a friendly and thoughtful presence, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Hilda's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. She was an avid reader, finding joy and adventure within the pages of countless books. Her love for games was evident in her passion for cards and bowling, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and friendly competition. Hilda also enjoyed spending her time swimming, sewing, and knitting, pastimes that she lovingly shared with her children and grandchildren.
Those who knew Hilda will recall her loving nature, her friendly smile, and her thoughtful gestures. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. In times of trouble, Hilda's favorite words of wisdom were always "everything happens for a reason".
Hilda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the importance of family. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all the lives she touched. As we say goodbye to Hilda Mary Lovas, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
