Hilda McKee, 99, a resident of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 23, 2025.
She was born in Biloxi, MS and married Paul Ross McKee from Buffalo, NY. She was a devoted mother to twelve children, a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman of faith and an active member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church community. She was active in Women’s Ministry and the Children’s Ministry.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Vera Byrd; husband, Paul R. McKee; and sons, John W. Burns, James E. Burns, and Scott McKee.
She is survived by her sister, Sue (Mike) Heidelberg; children, Sharon Bilbo, Margaret (Jim) French, Janet (Dennis) Fountain, Joyce (Jeff) Taylor, Thomas (Gayla) McKee, Paul (Kimberly) McKee, Jr., Nancy (Robert) Marcellus, David McKee, Terry Bartz; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff with Vital Caring Hospice, Ocean Springs with heartfelt appreciation to her team, Melinda, Jasmine, and Tessa.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Children's Ministry at Belle Fountain Baptist Church- an organization that was near and dear to Hilda’s heart.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Belle Fountain Baptist Church, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit thirty minutes prior. Burial will follow at Belle Fountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
