Hildred G. Thompson

Hildred G. Thompson, age 81, of 401 Josey Avenue, Byromville, died Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Gordon and Mamie Goodrum Gordon.  She retired from John Deere after many years of service and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.  Hildred enjoying cooking, gardening and flowers but nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include:
Husband:  Allen Thompson of Byromville

Sons:
Andy Thompson (Tonya) of Vienna
David Thompson (Christine) of Monticello

Brothers:
Jack Gordon of Sycamore
Eugene Gordon of Sycamore

Grandchildren:  Blake, Brooke (Will), Summer (Jeffrey), Bailee (Will) and Brock (Peyton)

Great Grandchildren:  Wesley, Asher and Hudson

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Tracy, Leila Sellers, Earnestine Allen, Evelyn Curl and Bessie Gabriel.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 25 in Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Barrett officiating.  Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 pm Tuesday, March 24 at the funeral home.
