Hilton Douglas "Bop" Willis

Hilton Douglas "Bop" Willis, age 79 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Doug was born on December 27, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Hilton and Virginia Willis.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert McAlpin and cousin, Charles Lee Orr.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janna Willis; daughter, Amy (Timothy) Bish; son, Todd (Shannon) Willis; grandchildren, Lucas Bish and Abigail Willis; sister, Susan McAlpin.
Doug attended Western Kentucky University where he earned a bachelor's degree in science. He retired from AstraZeneca as a pharmaceutical sales rep. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville. He was a youth basketball coach with the Hendersonville Parks Department. He was a true sports fan loving the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, Kentucky Basketball as well as the local Beech High School football team. He could be found standing on the sidelines for all the Friday night home games at Shackle Island stadium. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed the outdoors as evidenced by his membership in the NRA, TWRA, Bass Masters, USPGA, Twelve Stones Golf Club and Sportsman Club. He loved his family and will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, November 9th at 11:30 AM at FPC Hendersonville, 172 W. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN. A reception will follow the service until 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations to Aveanna Hospice Care in Hendersonville or FPC Hendersonville.
