A Tribute to Hoa Tran
We gather today to honor the life of Hoa Tran, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Hoa was born on October 1st, 1951, in Vietnam and passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2025. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we are comforted by the memories of the incredible life she lived and the love she shared with all of us.
Hoa was the devoted wife of Kimhon Chen, with whom she built a life rooted in love, sacrifice, and strength. Together, they raised three sons-Vincent, Timothy, and Michael-instilling in them the values of hard work, kindness, and resilience. Hoa and Kimhon made countless sacrifices to ensure their sons could have the opportunities and stability that they themselves had been denied. Their dedication and love shaped the men their sons would become.
Hoa was also a doting grandmother to seven grandchildren: Angelina, Tyler, Chloe, Huey, Sophie, Jaxon, and Xander. In her later years, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them. Whether it was cooking their favorite meals or simply watching them play, Hoa's face would light up whenever her grandchildren were near.
She was a gifted cook, known especially for her egg rolls, which became a family favorite and a symbol of the warmth and care she poured into everything she did. No family gathering was complete without a taste of her cooking, which nourished both body and soul.
Hoa had a zest for life and a deep love for her community. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, creating beautiful memories in faraway places. Her laughter was a familiar sound at the senior center, where she could often be found singing karaoke with her friends. Her voice, full of life and warmth, brought joy to those around her.
Hoa's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and generosity. She gave selflessly, loved fiercely, and left behind a legacy of warmth and strength. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
Rest in peace, Mom. We love you and will miss you always.
