Hollis Bennett, Sr. Obituary
Hollis L. Bennett, Sr. of Goodbee, Louisiana reunited with the love of his life, Virginia Bennett on October 21, 2023 at the age of 91.
Hollis leaves behind cherish his loving memories, his children Hollis, Jr. (Bridget), Danny (Mary), Tyren (Kelly), Chris (Sherrie), his siblings; his brother Butch as well as 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Hollis is preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia R. Bennett, his parents Gordon Bennett and Merle Bennett, as well as his siblings; Norma, Carl, Vera and James.
Hollis joined the United State Army in December 10, 1951 and was drafted to serve on June 28, 1953. He served two tours in the Korean War and was discharged January 12-14, 1958.
He spent his time enjoying fishing, hunting and flying airplanes.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday November 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made at any armed service charity on behalf of Hollis Bennett, Sr.
