Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Southwest Denver/LakewoodHollis Keith, of Littleton, CO passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born October 7, 1935, in Abilene, Texas, to John L. Keith and Novelle (Kirkpatrick) Keith.
He attended Abilene High School, and married Wanda Atwood on June 4th, 1956, where they soon took off on an adventure to Fayetteville, North Carolina where he was stationed at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division. A career path eventually led them to Arvada, Colorado where they lived for 51 years until moving to Littleton, CO., to be near their daughter.
They had 2 children, Charles Hollis Keith, and Lori Diane Keith (Kraft).
Hollis spent most of his life as a member of Sheetmetal Local #9 in Denver, CO. In 1992 he went into business, opening Classic Metal, Inc. with several partners. They specialized in stainless steel, copper, and bronze. He could take his family all over town, and to Denver International Airport, to show off all the beautiful work they did. His son, Charlie Keith, and grandson, Charles Robert Keith, also contributed to the many metal artworks around Denver, and Colorado.
He was an avid sports fan, enjoying The Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Denver Bronco's. He enjoyed old western shows and movies, and he never met a dog that he did not love.
The impact that Hollis had on those he encountered, regardless of the setting, is immeasurable. The wisdom, the work ethics, his life of character and integrity, and the love of his family that he demonstrated daily. He made a difference in so many lives. His grandson, Jared, was so thoughtful to send cards saying how much he had learned from granddad and grandmother over the years.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Keith; sisters, Helen Bigham, Winnie Antilley, Johnny VanCleave (Hoskins). He is survived by his sister Betty Susan Raughton. He leaves behind a loving family, son, Charlie (Laura) Keith; daughter Lori (Steve) Kraft; grandchildren, Charles Keith, Jared (Bethany) Keith, Natalie (Nate) Lawson; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Mackenzie, Pricilla, Highland; many nieces and nephews. He is reuniting with and leaving behind many close friends, family and loved ones.
