Holly Ann Giffrow-Bos passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 54 years old, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Holly was born on December 9, 1969 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Harvey and Mary Ann (Eliason) Giffrow. She grew up in Stanchfield with her two brothers, Todd and Chad. As kids they loved to be outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping. She attended Braham High School excelling in multiple sports, extra curriculars, and building lifelong friendships throughout. Holly graduated in 1988.
Holly then moved to California for 13 years where she worked in the car dealership industry. She would quickly work her way up the corporate ladder, to eventually become a service manager for two locations at just 26 years old. She gained many new friends there, who quickly became family, and remain so today. She loved her California bike club, and riding motorcycles enjoying the scenery, all over the coast.
Holly eventually came back to Minnesota in 2004. She welcomed her daughter Ashlynn to the world a year later. Holly embraced her role of mother with all her heart. She met her husband Dan Bos on a blind date in 2005, and they've been together since. In 2006 Dan and Holly got married and her family grew with the addition of Jordan, Hannah, and Hailyn. That year she also started her job as Fleet Supervisor at East Central Energy, where Holly was involved in many company functions above her role as supervisor. They moved twice before settling down back in her hometown of Stanchfield, where they built their dream home together.
Holly enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to be outdoors gardening, camping, hiking, going for wheeler rides, and looking at the sky. She expressed her love for music by playing guitar, tambourine, singing karaoke, and dancing. She was an animal lover, extremely selfless, caring, welcoming, and strong. Her confidence was noticed, but not intimidating. Her smile lit up the room.
Holly's real passion in life was her family. She was a loving mother, caring sister, a great wife, and an extraordinary friend. Every time she made a new friend, they would become family. Holly had a way of making everyone feel special, because to her each person was and it was true. She had a nickname for everyone. The most fun times with Holly were spent sitting around laughing at farts, exchanging jokes, singing along to music, or just being with her. She never failed to have a good time. She would never turn a single soul away, and in doing this she created a diverse community of people who surround her family today. She was god fearing and knew where she was going. "Take me as I am, cause I can't stay long."
Holly is preceded in death by her father Harvey, her mother Mary Ann, father-in-law David Bos, grandparents, aunts, uncles and various cousins.
She is survived by her husband Dan; children, Ashlynn Giffrow-Bos, Jordan Bos (Kaleigh), Hailyn Bos (Mason), and Hannah Bos; mother-in-law Diann Bos; brothers, Todd (Mary) Giffrow and Chad (Julie) Giffrow; brothers-in-law, Buz (Jen) Bos and Josh (Shawn) Bos; nephews and nieces, Hunter (Emily) Giffrow, Sierra Giffrow (Brenden), Kelsey (Steven) Willey, Trey Bos, Oakley Bos, and Esperanza Bos; great nieces and nephew, Lucy, Flynn, and Lennyn; many other relatives and friends.
