Holly Jean (Veach) Thomas, age 71, passed away February 6, 2024, at home after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Ashland, Ohio on December 25, 1952, and she was the daughter of the late Betty (Smith) Wilburn and Robert Veach.
Holly attended both Mansfield Senior High School and Shelby Senior High School. She retired from the State of Ohio Department of Youth Services in Activity Therapy Administration with 21 years of service.
Holly married Roy Thomas with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage.
She loved all animals, especially the horses and dogs she had thru the years. She was the type of person that if she said she was your friend, she was a true friend. Holly had many talents; she had a beautiful singing voice and could play many music instruments. She was also an artist and loved growing house plants and trying different food dishes out on her husband. She loved to read and listen to books on the radio as she drove her car.
Holly is survived by her husband Roy Thomas of Lucas; her son Neil Thomas of Hains, Alaska; her sisters Christine Nolan of Bellville and Vicki Arnholt of Perrysville; her brother Matt Wilburn of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Chanell E. Brow and her sister Deb Kiser.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
