Homer Garrett Obituary

Mr. Garrett was born June 17, 1939, in Troup County, son of the late Sidney Fred Garrett and Nellie Smith Garrett. A lifelong resident of Troup County, he worked many years at Durand-Wayland Machinery and then owned and operated a small engine repair shop prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
In addition to his parents, sisters, and brother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mytra Ann Garrett, whom he dearly loved. Survivors include his sister, Pearl Morgan of LaGrange and several nieces and nephews.
The family is honoring Mr. Garrett's wishes that no memorial service be conducted. A private interment will be held in Hillview East Cemetery.
