Native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of Lillie Mae Bobo of Inman, SC and the late William Rice Sr.
Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a member of Greater Bible Way Tabernacle and a former cloth inspector for United Cloth in Inman.
She loved driving to different places and playing Spades with friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Veronica Mitchell, Sandra K. Dudley and Alsonia Young.
Also surviving are: a son, Devek J. Mitchell of Inman; brothers, William (Mary) Rice Jr. and Edwin (Lorraine) Davis of Duncan, SC; sisters, Cynthia Ferguson, Robin Mitchell, Karen Smith and Linda Rice, all of Spartanburg, SC, Odessa McIntyre of Baltimore, MD and Carolyn Ballenger of Travelers Rest, SC; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday March 16, 2025 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel.

To the Mitchell family I send my condolences! I use to be with these ladies all the time until we moved from around each other but I still consider you all as part of my family and I hate I just found this out about Hope!! Praying for you guys and hope to see you all. Angie Posey Redd
