Hope Serena Mitchell. 54, of 19 Prospect St. peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday March 7, 2025 in Spartanburg Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
Native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of Lillie Mae Bobo of Inman, SC and the late William Rice Sr.
Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a member of Greater Bible Way Tabernacle and a former cloth inspector for United Cloth in Inman.
She loved driving to different places and playing Spades with friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Veronica Mitchell, Sandra K. Dudley and Alsonia Young.
Also surviving are: a son, Devek J. Mitchell of Inman; brothers, William (Mary) Rice Jr. and Edwin (Lorraine) Davis of Duncan, SC; sisters, Cynthia Ferguson, Robin Mitchell, Karen Smith and Linda Rice, all of Spartanburg, SC, Odessa McIntyre of Baltimore, MD and Carolyn Ballenger of Travelers Rest, SC; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday March 16, 2025 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel.
