Curtis Simpson Jr. 72 of 200 South Randolph Avenue, Apt. 1-11was granted his wings on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Spartanburg Medical Center.
Native of Rutherford County, NC, he was a son of the late Curtis Simpson Sr. and the late Gladys Carson Simpson.
Curtis was united in holy matrimony for over 39 years to the former Peggy Lee Wilson on December 16, 1987 in Spartanburg, SC. He was a self-employed carpenter, a member of the Tigerville All Male Choir and a member of Maybry's Temple Bibleway Church in Campobello, SC.
He loved to cheer for The Pittsburg Steelers Football Team.
Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his siblings, Billy and Milton Simpson and Wilma Jean Burgess.
Left to cherish loving memories are: his wife, Peggy Lee Simpson of the home; a special niece, Shadonna Wilson of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Rev Larry (Minister Kathy) Simpson of Boiling Springs, SC and Joseph (Teresa) Simpson of Inman, SC; sisters, Rev. Lila Marie Jackson of Boiling Springs, SC, Dr. Sallie Mae Lowrance of Rutherfordton, NC and Deborah Ann Simpson of Charlotte, NC; a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in Maybry's Temple Bibleway Church in Campobello, SC with Bishop Darrell Beason, officiating. Burial will follow in Friendly Hill Cemetery in Chesnee, SC.
